About Okwa Foundation

Okwa Foundation is a family foundation established by Okwa Sarefo with a vision of giving back to communities and creating opportunities for future generations.

Although officially registered in 2025, the foundation became operational the same year and hosted its first community donation initiative on 13 September 2025, marking the beginning of its journey of service and community support.

The foundation is governed by a dedicated board consisting of five family-member trustees and one independent trustee who collectively guide the organization’s mission and activities.

What began as an effort to support the people of Jao Village has expanded into a broader commitment to serve communities throughout the Okavango Region and ultimately across Botswana.
